Learn, Grow & Shine Together
A safe, joyful, and nurturing early childhood learning centre in Arusha, Tanzania — where children aged 0–6 explore, play, create, and grow in a beautiful Reggio-inspired environment.
The Little Nest was founded in 2016 with a simple but powerful belief: every child in Tanzania deserves access to high-quality early education in an environment that truly celebrates who they are.
Nestled in the vibrant city of Arusha, we are a professional early childhood learning centre offering daycare, nursery school, and preschool for children aged 0–6. Our spaces are warm, light-filled, and designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and connection.
We take time to understand each child as an individual — supporting them to build confidence, form friendships, and discover the world through play, creativity, language, and love.
Children are natural researchers. Our environment, materials, and teachers act as guides — inviting children to wonder, question, and create every single day.
Play is the work of childhood. Literacy, numeracy, arts, and social development are woven into joyful, meaningful experiences that children lead themselves.
Families are our closest partners. We maintain open, warm communication — sharing updates, celebrating milestones, and growing alongside every family we serve.
We are proudly Tanzanian. Our books, songs, and celebrations honour local culture, community, and the beautiful natural world of East Africa.
While our roots are Tanzanian, our vision is global. Children leave The Little Nest as compassionate, confident learners ready for an interconnected world.
Every child belongs here. We create an environment where all children — of every background — feel seen, heard, and genuinely valued every day.
To offer meaningful early learning experiences rooted in African identity and enriched by global ideas — guiding every child to become a capable, joyful learner prepared for life.
A nurturing space where every child feels seen, valued, and supported — where Tanzanian culture and Reggio Emilia inspiration meet to help children grow through play, creativity, and discovery.
At The Little Nest we combine two world-class early childhood frameworks — blending the child-led, exploratory spirit of Reggio Emilia with the structured developmental guidance of the Early Years British Curriculum (EYFS).
Children don't just learn to read and count — they learn to think, feel, collaborate, and love learning. Every experience is purposeful; every space is an invitation.
Child-led inquiry, project-based exploration, and environments designed as a "third teacher." Children are capable, curious protagonists of their own learning.
Structured milestones across seven areas of learning — communication, numeracy, physical development, creativity, and more — ensuring every child is truly school-ready.
Every day is full of discovery, laughter, and learning — indoors and out.
Our Reggio-inspired spaces are the heartbeat of The Little Nest. Beautiful, light-filled rooms with natural materials, woven baskets, living plants, and children's own artwork — every detail is intentional.
From our cosy reading nooks and art studios to our outdoor playground and swimming pool, children move freely through spaces that invite them to explore, imagine, and be themselves.
Our environment reflects both global best practice and the natural beauty of Tanzania — a place where every child feels truly at home.
Our team of qualified early childhood professionals brings warmth, expertise, and genuine love for children to everything they do.

Qualified educators with specialist early childhood training — creating rich, responsive learning environments every day.

Inspiring children through music, visual arts, storytelling, and movement — building confidence and self-expression from the very start.
